Is Vulcan The True Ruler of Virgo?

The Zodiac signs Virgo and Gemini are both ruled by the planet Mercury, just like how Taurus and Libra are both governed by the planet Venus. There is a myth in astrology that Mercury is not Virgo's true ruler and that Mercury is Virgo's foster ruler. Mercury is known only to be Virgo's ruler until Virgo's true ruler is discovered one day.

Mercury possesses many qualities that allow it to function in harmony along with the sign Virgo. However, Mercury is a masculine planet, and Virgo is a feminine sign, and due to this, they don't always get along that great. The allocation of Virgo and Mercury is not 100 percent ideal. Virgos are known to be quite anxious, quite nervous, quite restless, and very ill at ease. The reason that Virgos feel so ill at ease is that their true ruling planet has not been discovered. It is said that Virgos will always feel quite uncomfortable within themselves until their actual ruling planet is eventually discovered.

Once the true ruling planet of Virgo is discovered, it is also said that at this point will the actual personality traits and the characteristics of the sign Virgo change as well. Virgo's traits and qualities right now are temporary, meaning that Virgos aren't currently functioning in their fullest capacity or within their fullest potential that they possibly can. In ancient astrology, there is a planet that is known as Vulcan, and Vulcan is actually believed to be the true ruler of Virgo; however, Vulcan has not been discovered.

Vulcan is known as a hypothetical planet, meaning this planet is mainly based on myths and speculation; however, its actual existence has not been proven. Vulcan is said to exist between Mercury and between the Sun. Mercury has a slight wobble in its orbit, so it wobbles outwards when it reaches a specific point in its orbit. The thing is, many have stated that this wobble in Mercury's orbit is due to the gravitational pull of other planets. Other people state that this wobble in Mercury's orbit is due to the possibility of another planet existing within close proximity to Mercury. It is also said that due to Vulcan's proximity to the Sun and because Vulcan is the planet of lightning and thunder, Vulcan is always illuminated. Because it is so close to the Sun, it causes some kind of effect where you cannot see Vulcan with the naked eye. You're also not able to pick it up on images or telescopes due to the light effect combination between Vulcan and the Sun.

There are many myths and reasons for why Vulcan cannot be discovered. According to mythology, Vulcan was the son of Hera and Zeus. Zeus threw Vulcan out of heaven due to his lameness. They held the festival of the lame god known as Vulcanalia on the 23rd of August in Rome. The 23rd of August is also the date associated with when the Sun enters Virgo, which is part of why the ancients believed that Vulcan is associated with Virgo.

I first heard about Vulcan when I was reading the Virgo chapter in Linda goodman's book, the sun signs. This is what Linda Goodman states about Vulcan: "It's important to mention here the still unseen planet Vulcan, the true ruler of Virgo since its discovery is said to be imminent. The discovery of the true ruler of a sign changes the characteristics of those born under it. To give only one example, during the period when both Aquarius and Capricorn were ruled by Saturn, the Februaryborn, such as Abraham Lincoln, clearly showed the melancholy traits of that planet. But when Uranus (the symbol of electronics and space, and the true ruler of Aquarius) was Discovered-in its proper time in the universal plan- Aquarians began to reflect qualities of restless discovery, and a more electric, unpredictable, progressive personality, such as that of Uranus-ruled Aquarian Franklin D. Roosevelt. Many astrologers feel that Vulcan, the planet of thunder, will become visible through telescopes within a few years. Shortly before or after Vulcan moves close enough to the earth to be seen, Virgos now living, as well as those born in the future, will lose much of the Mercurial pressure that causes the present nervous strain. Mercury being more compatible with the airy sign of Gemini than with the earthy Virgo. The thunderous Vulcan will also gives to Virgos their astrological inheritance of courage and confidence, and will release many of the typical Virgo inhibitions. After Vulcan is discovered, the last remaining planet to be identified, according to ancient predictions, is 'Apollo, the true ruler of Taurus. Then each Sun sign will answer to the vibrations of its rightful ruler-twelve signs and twelve heavenly bodies. It's interesting to note that Vulcan, in Greek mythology, is the lame god with the brilliant mind. Many Virgos have a slight limp, or else some peculiar and unusual quality to the walk or posture. "

Many people will argue whether Vulcan is actually the ruler of Taurus or the ruler of Virgo or whether Apollo is a ruler of Taurus or Virgo or whatever the case may be. I stick to Linda goodman's opinion and also adhere to what Linda Goodman says because I do believe Linda Goodman to be one of the most prolific astrologers to have ever existed, and I usually take her word because I feel that her interpretations are the most accurate and her information is the most precise.

Isaac Newton believed in Vulcan. However, Einstein disproved Newton's theory of Vulcan existing with his theory of relativity. To be entirely honest with you, I do not know much about physics. I also don't know much about science, so I'm not going to try to explain this to you because I will most likely embarrass myself.

Seeing as Vulcan might not exist in the physical plane, or it possibly might, honestly, who knows? Many believe Vulcan to be an esoteric planet. When I say esoteric planet, it means that Vulcan is said to exist on a different dimension or a different plane. That means that Vulcan is not observable within the physical plane to us; however, in the spiritual dimension and the spiritual planes, Vulcan is visible, and it does exist there. Many people believe Vulcan to be an esoteric planet in this sense where it's not an actual physical planet but a spiritual planet.

Some professional astrology software includes Vulcan. It is said that Vulcan is always traveling within eight degrees of the Sun, so that means that Vulcan will never be eight degrees away from the Sun. My solar fire software actually includes Vulcan and I do track the movements of Vulcan. I have been keeping an eye on Vulcan and its influences on my life, and its effects on astrology. I do find it very interesting that you're able to track the movements of a planet in astrology software that, in essence, does not exist

Some astrologers even include Vulcan in their astrological interpretations and into their readings, and I have recently started including Vulcan as well. In astrology, Vulcan is known to be the soul purifier. Vulcan is basically what takes you from one state of awareness and one state of consciousness, and it transfers and transmutes you into a new state of awareness and state of consciousness. This shift from one form of consciousness and one state of being into another state of being is mainly to facilitate the soul purification process because the soul cannot purify itself if it is going to remain in a state of being where it is attracting and experiencing negative influences and negative energies. Virgo is the sign of purity. Virgo is the sign of purification. Just like how Vulcan represents this purification process, it represents this process of taking oneself in one state of being, removing all the impurities off of you, and transmuting yourself into a pure being with no negative influences or energy. Like how Vulcan represents this, this is also what Virgo represents, which is why, according to astrologers, Vulcan and Virgo are actually meant to be matched. Virgos are on this eternal quest to purify themselves and purify their existence and the world around them, and that is what Vulcan also represents.
