Mercury in Capricorn

With a Capricorn Mercury, you are incredibly goal-driven. You likely have some kind of plan or goal that you have set for yourself from a very young age, and you tend to think about this a lot. Throughout your day to day life, you will mentally think about how you can reach your goal and how the actions that you are taking, today and right now, is going to get you towards the goal that you need to achieve.

For example, if you had your Mercury in Cancer, then you would constantly be thinking about your family. In the case of Mercury in Capricon, it is the opposite. Capricorn represents career and social status and climbing the career ladder. In your mind, you know that you need to work hard to achieve what it is that you want to achieve. You do not waste time thinking about unnecessary things that will waste space in your mind.

When you have a thought that is wasting your time, you will most likely say to yourself: “Sorry, but this thought is not going to make me rich, this thought is not going to help me become successful in my career, so I am not even going to bother with it.”

You can have a “take it or leave it” mentality, and you do not like to waste your time on things that do not aid your growth. You know what is worth your time, what needs your time, and you know what is a waste of your time, and you will avoid wasting your time.
